The state's attorney general has charged a pair of men who allegedly ran an operation from a Woburn business in which they illegally distributed vaping products to avoid state sales taxes. The men, Samuel Habib, 44, of Stratham, New Hampshire, and Peter Mesak, 32, of Newburyport, allegedly distributed e-cigarettes to vape and smoke shops across the state without paying the 75% sales tax, according to Attorney General Andrea Campbell. The alleged tax evasion cost the state $4.8 million in lost revenue, the AG's office said.
